"Police Tried to Assassinate My Swag"...next minute I am on the phone with their kids

If you don’t know the name Tauheed Epps, then you must be familiar with his stage name 2 Chainz. Yes Tauheed Epps,born September 12, 1976  formerly known as Tity Boi, is an American rapper from College Park, Georgia. He was previously signed to Ludacris' record label Disturbing tha Peace with Dolla Boy as Playaz Circle.The rapper enjoys being talked about so much that he specifically does things that sparks up conversations.

2 Chainz

               Way back when epps was still being called tity boi, speculations had it that  the name Tity Boi was meant to be derogatory towards women: although he repeatedly denied the accusations but in 2011 he decided to change his stage name to 2 Chainz as he perceived it to be more "family friendly". Following his name change, Epps released a mix tape titled T.R.U. Realigon: the mixtape became his first album to appear on a music chart, peaking at number 58 on the US Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and also featured the single "Riot". He has also made numerous guest appearances on tracks by other recording artists since the name change, including the commercially successful singles "Mercy" by rapper Kanye West and "Beez in the Trap" by female rapper Nicki Minaj.

Epps sparked up a fresh talking point when he  was reportedly arrested LaGuardia Airport in New York on Tuesday morning (May 22), after security found a weapon in his carry-on bag.Police were called to the scene, and 2 Chainz was arrested and taken into custody for misdemeanour  possession of a criminal weapon.

According to TMZ.com, the rapper was going through the Delta terminal to catch a flight to North Carolina when the TSA discovered brass knuckles in his bag.

The so called weapon was a four-finger ring  won innocently to emphasise his swag but unfortunately,the ring emphasised danger to the police as it was mistaken for brass knuckles. 

2 chainz has since confirmed with MTV News that he has  made his way to North Carolina, after boarding a private jet, and everything has been worked out ...kind of

"They tried to assassinate my character, they tried to assassinate my swag," the rapper told MTV via a phone interview. "It was just a negative dilemma earlier where someone misconstrued a piece of jewellery for a weapon and stuff."

"Yeah, they took it from me, they took the Louis [Vuitton] case that I actually keep the jewellery in, they took that. I couldn't believe it," 2 Chainz said. "Me just trying to explain it was getting too frustrating, me just trying to explain my occupation and then when they finally got to the jail and everybody knew who I was, then they started calling their kids and putting me on the phone with their kids. It was like a weird experience.

Kanye West and 2 Chainz

Despite the frustrating situation, 2 Chainz chooses to stay positive hence moving on to better things. This new Def Jam’s newest signee drops his solo debut on August 14 and he is currently on tour with Drake. There are speculations about his association with Good music but every word that is still as speculative as it sounds because neither him (2 chainz) nor Kanye West has confirmed anything is that direction. But as we all know him to be someone that likes to be talked about, i guess 2 Chainz and Kanye West is another topic for a long conversation
